The NetSuite SuiteWorld Event is a big opportunity for global partners and stakeholders to get together to network, learn, share, and experience everything related to current and near future NetSuite products and services. Part of their partner pavilion is a chance for top tier customers and enterprise partners to come together to show how their business thrives with NetSuites products in the mix.
I was put in charge of working with American Express Corporate Travel to provide an evocative activation to help get the conversation started, both regarding AmEx and NetSuite offering. Understanding the activation needs to be short, impactful, and memorable but in a small footprint in a busy pavilion area I opted for virtual reality as my go-to. The messaging requirements were two-fold; provide high level messaging that impresses on people the world of possibilities working with AmEx Corporate Travel and their enterprise incentive programs, and set the stage for a conversation on how NetSuite enables all that with their products and services working behind the scenes.
We created a curated 360° virtual reality video experience that allowed Viewers to experience breathtaking adventures happening around the world; crossing Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo at rush-hour, run amongst the wild animals across the plains of the Serengeti, walk through the streets of the Latin Quarter in Paris, and climb along the snow-covered ridges of Mount Everest. People had to sit down for this one, we knew that would happen. The experience drew lines of people. We edited the material to provide 30-60 second clips and remastered the audio to add messaging, music, and 3D effects to help them leave the busy pavilion and become immersed..
With over 8,000 people in attendance the lines remained until the last day. Both clients considered the engagement a success.
