This work focused on designing and deploying a secure, web-based platform used for distributed briefing and operational support within defense environments.
I was brought in as a white-label product lead (sub), working through a partner prime agency, to define the system and guide development from concept through deployment. The primary objective was to reduce the need for travel while enabling reliable access to critical information for senior stakeholders operating across locations.
The platform was built to support a range of use cases, including briefing, simulation, training, and onboarding. It provided a structured environment where users could access, navigate, and interact with information in a controlled and consistent way.
Security and access control were foundational. The system supported SSO, role-based permissions, a robust modular content management system (CMS), and deployment within restricted environments. At the same time, it was designed to operate under variable connectivity conditions. When bandwidth dropped or connections were interrupted, the experience degraded gracefully—falling back to cached content with clear signaling and defined escalation paths aligned to chain-of-command protocols.
The platform was deployed in a series of controlled environments, supporting pilot programs and specialized operational needs. These deployments prioritized reliability, clarity, and ease of use over scale. This effort reinforced the importance of designing systems that reflect real-world conditions—where access, security, and performance are not edge cases, but core requirements.
The platform addresses a set of practical coordination challenges common in distributed, high-stakes environments.
It provides a reliable way to conduct hybrid briefings, where in-room and remote participants can access the same information, in the same structure, at the same time. It enables teams to stand up focused briefing spaces quickly—tailored to a specific initiative, update, or operational need—without rebuilding materials or coordinating across multiple tools. Content can be organized and delivered through managed views, ensuring that different roles see what’s relevant to them while maintaining a single source of truth. The result is a more consistent, controlled way to share information, align stakeholders, and maintain momentum across teams without relying on travel or fragmented communication channels.
